Folding Icon of Mary and Jesus

Description

This two-panel folding icon displays the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child on the left and Jesus Christ on the right. Each panel is framed with a decorative gold-colored border and set against a deep blue background with golden halos. The two panels are joined by small metal hinges, allowing the diptych to be stood open on a flat surface or closed for travel.

ይህ ባለ ሁለት ገጽ ተጣጣፊ ሥዕለ አድኖ በግራ በኩል እመቤታችን ቅድስት ድንግል ማርያምን ከ ልጇ ጋር፣ በቀኝ በኩል ደግሞ ጌታችን መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን ያሳያል። እያንዳንዱ ሥዕል በወርቃማ ቀለም በተጌጠ ማዕቀፍ የተከበበ ሲሆን፣ በሰማያዊ መደብ ላይ በደማቅ ወርቃማ ብርሃን ተከቧል። ሥዕሎቹ በትንንሽ የብረት ማጠፊያዎች የተያያዙ በመሆናቸው በጠረጴዛ ላይ ለማስቀመጥ ወይም ለጉዞ ለማጠፍ ምቹ ናቸው።
